Jason specializes in financial and policy analysis. He focuses on applying statistical methods to real-world policy issues and creating data-driven, actionable solutions.
Prior to joining BERK in 2015, Jason worked as a Performance Auditor at the State Auditor’s Office. As an auditor, he evaluated the effectiveness and efficiency of a wide-range of government policies and programs in Washington State. While at the SAO, he created survey tools, analyzed survey responses, and conducted statistical analyses of program participant data.
Jason has a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Minors in both Mathematics and Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound.
Growing up on a farm in Eastern Washington, Jason started riding horses solo at age four. As an avid birdwatcher, Jason has been to 49 states and trekked out in the third worst blizzard in Chicago history to see a new species. Jason lives with two cats and his spouse in the heart of Capitol Hill.
