Radhika has a background in urban planning and architecture. She focuses on neighborhood planning and design, policy development and the integration of technical analysis with community planning. She has experience working with local government, nonprofits, foundations, educational institutions and libraries to develop recommendations on complex issues. Prior to joining BERK, Radhika managed the first large-scale industrial land supply and demand analysis for the central Puget Sound region since 1998 and an assessment of long-term demographic trends that impact the regional transportation system for the central Puget Sound region. She also worked at the cities of Bellevue and Seattle.
Radhika holds a Master of Urban Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kerala. A former Seattle Planning Commissioner, Radhika is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Tomorrow.
Radhika grew up in Kerala, India and lived in Boston before moving to Seattle. She is passionate about social justice, history, and place and volunteers for the King County One Night Count and other local efforts to prevent homelessness. Her favorite things to do include reading, gardening, cooking, skyping with her brother and spending time with her husband, mom, and kids, Meghna and Rahul.
