Columbia Basin Fund: Initial Economic Assessment
In support of the Water Foundation, BERK did an initial economic analysis of the Columbia Basin Fund – Representative Simpson’s proposed investment package focused on salmon recovery, economic development, and infrastructure investment. The proposal would include breaching the four Lower Snake River dams and transforming the regional economy.
BERK’s analysis includes:
An estimate of the number of jobs the investment package may generate.
A long-term look at the impact of the investment package on key regional industries: agriculture, energy, and recreation and tourism.
